TBY IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE: LSTA has just announced changes affecting Lakewood non-mandated students for the 2026–27 school year. To keep your child on the bus, you must log in to your LSTA family portal and opt in by Monday, August 24 at 11:00 PM. The cost is $945 per child. Any previously paid $385 will be applied, leaving a balance of $560. If you do not opt in by the deadline, your child will be opted out of transportation, and your $385 payment will be refunded. Please check your email from LSTA for the complete notice and all details. Since busing is run directly by the LSTA, they will be best able to assist you with any questions. If you are receiving this message, this update applies to your family. If you know a neighbor who does not receive text or email updates, please kindly make sure they are informed as well.

TBY IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE: Gut Voch. Regarding the new LSTA fee for non-mandated students, our recommendation at this time is NOT to opt in and NOT to opt out. Please simply take no action at this time and leave your current status as is. If you already opted in, please do not opt out. Actively opting out may remove your information from the LSTA system. We feel that the cost of non-mandated transportation should be covered through government funding and should not be placed on parents. We will keep you updated as soon as there are any further developments.

TBY IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE: Following discussions with LSTA, government officials, and askanim, the non-mandated bussing fee has been reduced from $945 to $675 per student, with an additional $290 due at this time. Parents who wish to receive non-mandated transportation may now opt in through the LSTA portal. The $290 payment is due when opting in. If you already opted in at the previous rate, you can log back into the LSTA portal to receive the updated pricing. LSTA will also be open tonight until 10:00 PM for kiosk walk-ins. We will continue to share any further updates as they become available.

TBY 6th GRADE: Reminder: Please send a copy of your daughter’s updated immunization record showing that she received her 11 year-old vaccines – TDAP and meningitis. This is only if she is 11 before the first day of school. Otherwise, she needs to receive it within 2 weeks of her birthday. Thank you.

TBY Early Dismissal Reminder: Parents picking up students in Primary–3rd grade may park in the parking lot and pick them up from the Primary hallway between 11:15–11:20 AM. There will be no pickup between 11:20 and 11:35 AM. Carpool for all grades begins at 11:35 AM, after the buses leave the bus lane. At that time, you may drive up and we will send your daughters out.
